One of the great and amazing things that happens when you change your diet, stop drinking, start working out, and really start a lifestyle of self-improvement is that you begin to notice a new you. You look in the mirror and you see, physically, a different person.

You’re no longer overweight, you feel physically better, everything is better.

But there is one thing that’s hard to shake though…

That’s the years of negative self talk you gave yourself. For many, no matter how much they’ve improved themselves, that little voice in their head that was constantly putting them down can be the hardest thing to conquer.

So, how do you defeat this little man in your head and begin to appreciate the new you?

Look at yourself in the mirror every day and value yourself

This right here is the most important thing you can do. You’ve changed. You’ve bettered yourself. No one can take that away from you, except that little voice in your head that’s been around forever. Look in the mirror and tell yourself that you’re worth what you want. Whatever happened in the past is the past. You can’t undo it, so don’t think of it and tell the little voice to go away. You have a new body, a new style, and for the first time you should visualize yourself with the life you’ve always wanted.

Walk With Confidence

Along with valuing yourself, walk with confidence. If you’re walking with a slouch, this displays to others that you have no confidence. Why do this? Walk straight. Be active in noticing how you’re walking and correct yourself immediately if you’re not walking like a man who values himself on a daily basis.

Get New Clothes

This may seem obvious, but for those that still “can’t see” the new version of themselves, they’ll continue to hang on to the old person they use to be, whether they like it or not, and that includes their old clothes. Make a point of doing this as you start getting fitter by throwing out your old clothes and getting new clothes that your new, fit body.

Never forget, how you present yourself to the world is a reflection of how you see yourself, so always make this a priority.

These are simple tips on how to be comfortable with the new you. You may not be use to the attention you’ll be getting, but you will be getting it so it’s important that you play the part of a high value male who’s worked hard to get where he’s at properly.
