To achieve happiness, you need the right kind of fuel. What fuels you? What makes you happy? A desire to help people? Wanting to make more money? Is it the desire to prove people wrong about you? To achieve happiness, you need the right kind of fuel.

You have dreams, goals, passions, things that make you feel alive, and things you want to accomplish in life.

When we look at changing our lives, changing our mindsets, we have to ask ourselves why we want to do this.

To Achieve Happiness, You Need The Right Kind Of Fuel

You have to have the right fuel (reasons) for changing your life, otherwise you’re doing it for the wrong reasons, which won’t change your life or bring you happiness, which in the end is what it’s about.

To find the right reasons, you have to ask yourself what’s important to you? What’s urgent for you? And most importantly, what’s meaningful for you?

Take a look at your life. Take a look at those around you that matter the most (even if it’s just you), and answer the questions above and see where they take you.

Here’s some examples:

  • Helping others
  • Achieving your fitness or business goals
  • Self improvement (social sicks)
  • Purchasing a house or car

As always it helps to write down what you want. On one side, write down what you want, and on the other write down the reasons for why you’re doing it. Then ask yourself if your reasons only help you or help others as well. You need to have a balance in your life. Help yourself but help others too.
