The little things….are the big things. I’ve written a fair amount about the importance of dressing. How you present yourself is important to all aspects of your life, and it’s not something you should take lightly.
That being said, what’s even more important is just your personal grooming.
Being tidy is important. Shirt tucked in? Hair combed? Nails cut?
The little things….are the big things.
It’s the little things that people notice that can have the biggest impression. If you’re not a construction worker, your nails shouldn’t be dirty.
You don’t have to be fashionable and know all the latest trends by any means, but it is important to present yourself in a clean and respectful manner.
- Comb and style your hair
- Comb and style your beard (use a beard oil)
- No holes in your socks
- Cut your nose hairs
- Shave your armpits (optional – but this really helps)
Easy things to do every day.
Have a standing appointment for your haircuts. Make sure you trim your nose hairs once a week and that your nails are taken care of.
Find a hair product that works with your hair. This can be tricky as everyone’s hair is different, but once you find that product that works for your hair, stick with it. Same as your barber. Don’t
I know it seems basic, but you won’t believe the number of women that just come to me and tell me “the guys don’t have to be fashion models, but if they just took care of their grooming…”
