You Need Sleep. It’s As Simple As That
Donald Trump, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and many others like to state that they can survive on less than 4-6 hours of sleep and that’s probably true for them, but you need sleep. It’s as simple as that.
Studies have shown that certain people can function at a high level with only a few hours of sleep.
You need sleep. You’re not going to survive on 4 hours a night
That being said, the vast majority of the population needs a good 8 hours of sleep every night. The human body needs to repair and rest. Anyone who’s sleep deprived can tell you how miserable life is without enough sleep.
Sleep is an absolutely critical part to weight loss and muscle gain. Without enough of it you won’t see much progress and in-fact may gain more weight. How? The less sleep you get, the less time your body has to burn through fat over night, plus, the lack of sleep can cause you to overeat throughout the day.
Feel free to try living on 4-6 hours of sleep thinking you can make it. Perhaps you’re one of the lucky few that can function at an Arnold Schwarzenegger level on 6 hours of sleep; I suspect you’ll need 8 though.
